This is a throwback for me as I'm getting back into 2D illustrations. This is an antagonist from a video game called Final Fantasy VII for the PlayStation home console, released in 1997. The character is revealed as the final boss after a certain point in the game, and he has the ability to transform into stronger versions of himself. So, this is basically a mutation from his human form to his ascended form... all while he watches the world's potential demise.

This is also a very detailed light study for me.
